Round table with German investors in Berlin

A round table was held on 8 November 2019 at the Tunisian Embassy in Berlin, between German investors, senior representatives of German professional federations and journalists. The participants in this meeting included: HE Ambassador of Tunisia in Berlin, HE Ambassador of Germany in Tunisia, the President of the Federal Association of Wholesalers, Foreign Trade and Services, the representative of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, Tunisian-German cooperation bodies like GTAI and EMA as well as FIPA Tunisia Director General and the Director of the FIPA-Cologne office.

The objective of this meeting was to introduce German investors to the host of opportunities available in Tunisia as well as the new business climate and to reassure them about the development of the situation in the country. In this context, the Director General of FIPA Tunisia emphasized the assets of Tunisia as a preferred investment site for German companies in strategic sectors thanks to its geostrategic positioning and its competitive advantages. He also presented the various recent economic reforms allowing Tunisia to better position itself among comparable sites.

When sharing testimonials about the business climate, the director of the Tunisia site Leoni Group (the largest private employer in Tunisia) confirmed the great interest of this group for Tunisia and its ranking on top of Leoni's international sites around the world especially in terms of competitiveness.
