The core business of ZODIAC, aeronautics, was born in 1896 with the development of airships and airplanes. In the 1930s, it was the invention of the concept of inflatable boat which allows the company to take off and which imposes the brand image of the Group after the Second World War. Today, the Group has refocused on aeronautics.

ZODIAC AEROSPACE continues its development to ensure constant growth of its business. With an industrial discipline and rigorous management, the technological expertise of Zodiac is organized into three main areas: safety equipment, embedded systems and cabin interiors. These areas are divided into six industries.

The various activities of ZODIAC involve a workforce of about 20,000 employees worldwide.

In accordance with its development approach in specific niche markets, the industrial locations of the Group cover the geographical areas where major aircraft manufacturers are located, particularly North America, South America and Europe.

With nearly three-quarters of its staff based outside France, ZODIAC AEROSPACE has a spirit of international openness which is essential to understanding the needs of its markets and to be able to react and innovate. There are 116 sites in the world with 21,157 employees contributing to the development and growth of the group

In Tunisia, ZODIAC AUTOMOTIVE Tunisia (formerly Zodiac Airbags Tunisia) is a company located in Soliman in the governorate of Nabeul and is specialized in the field of automotive equipment, especially airbags.

Founded in 2003, its production is entirely intended for export. It has a workforce of about 600 employees, including twenty engineers.

Its production of airbags reaches 17,000 items per day.
