Tunisian-Spanish Investment and Cooperation Day held on 2 April 2019 at the "Palacio de Santoña" in Madrid

As part of the efforts to promote Tunisia as an investment site, FIPA-Tunisia in Madrid organised a Tunisian-Spanish Investment and Cooperation Day in collaboration with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and on the 2nd of April 2019 at the "Palacio de Santoña" in Madrid.

The seminar was enhanced by the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of Tunisia in Madrid Mr. Wacef Chiha as well as the President of the Tunisia Investment Forum Mr. Jalloul Ayed, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid Mr. Augusto de Castañeda, Director of FIPA-Tunisia for Spain and Portugal Mr. Ibrahim Medini, MFC Pole CEO Ms. Neila Gongi, the Director of ONTT Office in Spain Ms. Mounira Derbel, the Director General for International Trade and Investment to the Spanish State Secretariat of Commerce Ms. Maria Paz Ramos, the Director General of the SPCS Competitiveness Cluster in Sousse Mr. Hichem Turki and the General Manager of the Tunsiair office in Spain Mr. Moez ben Rjeb.

More than 45 companies took part in this seminar and attended a presentation on the economic situation in Tunisia made by Mr. Jalloul Ayed. He invited Spanish companies to take advantage of the investment-friendly environment in Tunisia which can serve as a production platform and access bridge to other Arab and African markets. Mr. Ayed also highlighted the importance of offshoring and its added value for the economy.

His Excellency the Ambassador of Tunisia in Madrid equally made a presentation highlighting the political, economic and social situation in Tunisia.

Ms. Neila Gongi also presented the offers of Tunisian technoparks for investors and the various possibilities of collaboration as well as the innovative activities and the latest technologies within the technological clusters in Tunisia.

The director of FIPA-Tunisia for Spain and Portugal presented the incentives and facilities provided by the new Investment Law highlighting the potential of high value-added economic activities and innovative activities as well as new investment opportunities.

As for the Director of ONTT in Madrid, she presented the Tunisian tourism offer and Maria Paz Ramos presented the trade and investment exchanges between Tunisia and Spain.
B to B meetings with Spanish companies were also organised on this occasion.
